for anyone who may not be familiar with a 45-70 cartridge, one is shown below next to a 44 Mag .... 44 Mag - 240 gr Nosler JHP -23.8 gr W296 - LP primer ... 45-70 - 300 gr Nosler Combined Technology Ballistic tip; - 51.5 gr IMR 4198 - LR primer

The first time I ran across 45-70 was at the range when I found some brass. Needed a forklift to pick it up.

I think I will keep my 45-70 in the Henry CCH where it belongs. 45-70 hand cannons arent my cup of tea. Al
