Do you shoot available smokeless powder factory ammo or load your own? From what I read Magtech which is easy to find has 38 SW which I have and it is supposed to be safe for the older guns in good shape as it is loaded down. Not going to shoot it much. Little thing is cool though!

I have a partial box of factory ammo, but load my own to shoot occasionally.
I think I use red dot, but would have to check notes.

understood .... I have an old Smith 38 that had pearl grips .... I didn't realize how brittle they were and messed them up .... I had to purchase Smith wooden grips which are still on the revolver .... can only wish I'd of taken the pearls off immediately and of saved them
