Ed Brown 1911

This is my Ed Brown 1911. I ordered it last November and got it two days before Christmas. I ordered it with a carbon steel frame, gen 4 black coating, no slide markings, no bushing markings, solid long trigger and combat night sights. I have a stainless EB that I bought in 2014, but I wanted a few changes for my next one. Both guns eat all the ammo you can feed them.

I run Checkmate 7 round mags with the hybrid feed lips, GI follower and use Wolff 11 pound magazine springs.

Both guns make hitting steel plates at 50 yards enjoyable. Always puts a smile on my face. :D

I drooled on the gun when I first held it. I use it as my everyday carry and so far the finish is holding up really well.

Great looking pistol.
I would have to sell my wife's car to finance a Ed Brown. :D
I don't think she would approve.

Great picture too. The side light highlights the checkering.

I think everyone should have a gun like that.
