I've always loved the Volcanic pistol .... It was the same design used to make the original Henry , 1866 and 1873 Winc rifles . I would love to shoot one . ...

The concept of the Rocket Ball round was brilliant .... even though it wasn't too practical. I had no idea that the pistols were fetching that kind of money!

When I was about ten or twelve years old I read an article about the volcanic pistol. I fashioned my own using plywood and a length of T.V. antenna pipe for a barrel, The lever was 1/4" plywood and would swing down just like the real thing. I had totally forgotten about it until I saw the photos.I guess I was hooked on lever guns even then.
