This beauty came from the George Gamble Estate Collection in Bradenton, FL. A fairly rare 2nd Generation in .44 Spl. Only 1,039 examples in .44 Spl were produced for the entire 18 year run of 2nd Generation SAA’s. This example still retains the original Colt grease in the loading gate & it’s 5 1/2” barrel. I feel some of the best CCH were produced in this timeframe. I feel lucky to own it.
Happy New Year All!

Collecting Colts is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There’s also a negative side.

Very nice. The first handgun I fired was a .44/40 2nd gen Colt single action. Nice photo with the statue.
