I need to start frequenting that lgs. I get to that town a couple times a year. I mostly go to Tomahawk or Wausau if I go to a big city.

Gene, it's the same one where you bought that Single Six, across from the restaurant some years ago when you visited. Mel's Trading Post is another one in town and Mel's also gets some nice vintage guns, too. If you shop at either one, just tell them Joanie said to give you a good deal or just let me know what you are looking for and I'll keep an eye out. Better yet, come for a visit and we'll shop together.

Shopping together sounds great. I’m interested in any good rimfire of any kind.

I'll keep my eyes open for something you might like.

Right now I've been drooling over a beautiful Browning BAR 22 LR rifle in mint condition, but the price tag is a pretty hefty $900. That's what these BARs bring, though. It's a Browning, after all. FYI, don't confuse the BAR with the little SA 22 that I so dearly love. It's a larger full size 22 LR auto.

Also spotted a Winchester Model 74 semi auto 22 LR. These are not often seen. Pretty much an oldie, but a goodie for shooting and plinking. The 74 is not a real collector piece like the Model 63 semi-auto, but could be a fun shooter for you.
