New revolvers for Me

Post by Carver » Thu Dec 21, 2023 10:32 am

After reading the posts that NCG posted I thought I would go to the LGS and take a look at all the new toys, Bad Move. I talked myself into buying two new revolvers, ruger 357 Nighthawk and a Uberti 9mm El Patron both with 5 I/2 in barrels. I haven’t got them yet as in Colorado there is a 3 day waiting period! Good move for the Gov. I guess. Anyway looking forward to my new Xmas presents and I won’t be looking all over for the fired cases.

Nice! Can't have too many, right?
Does that 9mm need moon clips, or can you just drop in rounds and go?

Since you quoted me, I sure hope you like them. :) You will, though. Can't go wrong on either one.

As for the Ruger, I assume you mean Blackhawk, though there is a 357 Redhawk, but the Redhawk is a double action. You'll never wear out or shoot out either one.

The Uberti SAs are wonderful. I'd love to find a 9mm Uberti SA. A single action 9mm is as cheap as it gets to shoot in a centerfire handgun and no moon clips needed in a single action. Be sweet to shoot, too, no issues at all with recoil.

Can't wait to see a range report.

Congrats.

The Uberti 9mm doesn’t use clips, one of the reasons I bought it.
and NCG yes I meant Nighthawk I’m old and can’t type worth a damn. Looking forward to both of them, just waiting for a phone call.
