Reload for either the Big Boy or the 686 (686 would be my first choice ) and then load both of them with the same load. I will get well over 100 rds before my 686 requires a cleaning using cast lead bullets. I am sure the Big Boy could do at least 50 rds before a cleaning. If you use a sling on your rifle, be sure to wear your handgun, *Cross Draw* or in a should riq; that way you will avoid the two banging together . . .

Beautiful revolver. Is that a 4" barrel? I have the Ruger SP101 357 with 4" it seems ideal for everything, except concealment. Lol. Enjoy
Haha yeah no hiding this cannon - 5" barrel and will be taking it on hikes/backpack trips. Bears are big in the PNW -
If you reload try those MB hardcast 180 gr Pugs. with 11.6-12 gr. of 2400 they would work well for trailing!
Sounds like a *great Load* for a 357; especially in a 5/6 inch revolver barrel :). I used a load very close in my Thompson Center [10 inch] while competing in Steel Silolett . . .

Beautiful Smiths. Thanks for sharing. Have owned several 686s in my time. All of these deserve a really nice holster, of course.

Nice pick up. That S&W is a fine addition to any collection. I'm sure you will find it the perfect companion when you're on the trail.

Can't go wrong with a Galco holster. I have several and they have served me well over the years.

That's about the perfect .357. Those grips look like the same one's that came with my performance center 2.5" 686 plus. They look great but left a lot to be desired when shooting magnums.

Congratulations on a nice trail gun.

Can't wait to test the whole revolver out! Was going this weekend but positive Covid test and under the weather totally slammed the door on that.
So I'm taking it apart a bit, polish and prep it for it's first range date. That's all I can do :-(
