Have had two Pedersoli muzzle loaders, a 50 cal long rifle and a 12 gauge shotgun. Both were outstanding in terms of quality and performance.

As NCG says they make great guns. The 86 in that link you sent is a great gun and here in the USA is hard to get. The price is also way up there.

Never owned one but have handled and shot a few over the years - excellent quality, fit and finish.

Just looked at Taylor's site and in stock at over $1900. Too rich for me unless I win the lotto! Nice looking rifle though.

If I ever went for a 45-70 it would be a Pedersoli Sharps.

I've had 3 Pedersoli Sharps..the first in 45/70 and straight stock/32" barre., then got one each "silhouette" model ( with pistol grip stocks) in 45/70 and 40/65. They are some of the most accurate rifles you can buy..their barrels are match grade...I used them a lot until I got my first Hi Wall in 38/55...BobGinVA

That's what I read about the Uberti ones...match grade barrels by Pedersoli. Cool...looking forward to my new high wall.
