Thought this might spark some conversation. Cool rifle. I don't know if this is a good price or not, some of you might.

Nice looking but I noticed the description said it had turned to a plum brown. I bet its was been cleaned and refinished.

That rife in my opinion is way over priced because it is in poor condition and the bore is terrible for a shooter . It was made in around 1890 and it is not a rare model . I think $2000 would be a better price to hang on your wall . . You can get a NEW Uberti for $1200 with the better steel for a shooter and the best 73 ever made . . All the part in a Uberti will fit and interchange with the original 73 with better heat treatment .

I thought it would interesting to hear what you guys had to say. I no nothing about antique firearms beyond them looking good, and the ultra-cool of having one hang on the wall. I'm not interested in buying this one, if I had that money to spend I'd buy a Henry H011! :)

A H011 , 92 winc copy's or Marlin 1894 make better hunting guns with modern smokeless high pressure loads . I
