Made it to the range for a quick check. Shot 9 rounds total (.38, .38 +P and .357). I shot from the 25 yards. Overall, I am happy with the rifle. I shot better with the .357 rounds. They were 158 gr semi-wadcutters. It was an old (29 years or so) box I had and wanted to try. The .38s were lighter grain (125 and 130) and had metal jackets. Do not know how much of an impact that was. But, I plan to shot some .38s either with no jacket or semi-jacketed and 158 grains. The .38s are on the same target with the .38 +P on the right. I was all over the place with the .38 +Ps. It was windy. But, I did not think it affected me.

Sure seems as if it really wasn't liking those lighter bullets of the 38's.
Nice shootin with the 357's, is this an older Marlin, or a newer one?

Yes, I am thinking it does not like the lighter loads either. It is a new one (Feb. 2019). And, I think I like shooting it. It is fairly light and smooth.
