Just picked up this Uberti "Silverboy" .22 LR yesterday at Gander Mountain for $374.99 on sale.

I already had a Winchester 9422 and a Henry "Golden Boy" so this helps in my quest for a collection of "Cowboy" type .22 Lever Actions. A Marlin "Mountie" and Browning are on my short list along with some more Henry carbines.

Just threw these two up on a cabinet for a quick picture so the differences can be seen. The receivers picked up a refection of the wall and makes it look a little rough. Both guns are completely smooth.

I can promise better pictures in the future.

How do the insides compare to a Henry?

I haven't taken it apart yet. The action is slick, like my Winchester 9422 but the Henry is a hair smoother when empty. I'll know better when some rounds are run through it.

LIke a Winchester, the cartridge path is carefully controlled all the way into the chamber, allowing a successful loading even if it is held upside-down.

One other feature worth mentioning is the top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for a Weaver style scope mount which is included.

The Uberti Silver Boy is quick to shoulder and the rake of the stock is less than the Henry Goldenboy, more like the Winchester.

Uberti makes fine firearms. I liked the picture. No need to apologize for it.

I stopped into a Cabela's today and they had a table set up with several long guns on sale. It was hard walking out without the Uberti Silver Boy. It was really nice. The finish on the stock was not the best but with a little TLC it would refinish nicely. The action was very smooth and I looked over the feed mechanism I would like to see Henry adopt it.
Like I said it was hard to walk away from. But I have a cruise and airfare to Europe to pay for before my next firearm purchase.

Is the Uberti and Henry action different?

If I recall correctly, the inner workings on the Uberti are quite a bit different from a Henry.
