This is not about what it sounds like. I went in the woods today with my CZ Lux 22 for squirrel. Every time I was getting comfortable for a shot and using my shooting sticks the butt with that lousy plastic butt plate would start to slid on my shoulder. I thought about cutting the stock and putting a thin Pachmayr rifle pad on but I don't plan on hunting squirrel enough this season to do that right now. My fix may be considered a band-aid for the cure but it works and I can live with it for now. I got a piece of the no skid material that sticks on steps and cut a piece to fit the butt plate and put that on it. No slipping now. Doesn't look to bad for a 3 minute fix.

Works real well on pistol grips also.

I would definitely do that!

I don't think it would look good on my brass butt.

Good Idea bandit. But how does that 444 work on squirrels

I've used the 3M stair non-skid tape on my air rifles , 22's and most target guns . It works great

Not sure how the 444 Marlin would work on squirrels but I think I may be slightly under gunned. We have big tough fox squirrels here so I use it mostly on real aggressive chipmunks and use the 300 gr. bullets.

.444 is pretty big caliber for squirrels and chipmunks.
Have eastern gray and fox here. .410 #4 shot works nicely. I leave the chipmunks to the cats.

The 32-20 will do squirrels to deer . Low noise and recoil and super accurate round . If you reload make it a better round . The 327 mag come very near the same round . The 32-20 bottleneck feed better in lever gun then the 327 mag straight wall case .
