My little walk-around light rifle

This my light weight little compact walk around rifle I bought last year. Ruger Predator 7.62X39. I bought this to have a light rifle with more knock down on coyotes than the magnum rim fires. A coyote can take a hit from the rim fires that may end up being a marginal hit from a moving shot and go a long way or get away altogether. It is cheap to shoot with the steel cased Russian ammo and it shoots it very well. The Russian ammo copper fouls more than the jacked lead bullets which is what I would use for varmint shooting. I did the trigger work on it and set it at 1 3/4 lb and then changed it to three for wearing gloves in the winter if really cold. I rarely wear gloves but some times it is really cold here. I may camo paint the stock as I don't care for the factory color. I can fire 40 rounds of the 7.62 for a little less than the price of 50 for 22 Magnum. This little rascal has a bark to it with the 16 1/4" barrel. I changed the scope from a Leupold 1-4X20 to this Tasco 3-9x40 that is a proven dependable scope. Has the duplex with dots down the reticle for distance hold over. I never ever saw a Tasco with this set up. Super clear glass and tracts perfect.
