I ran across a TC Classic today for $349. It was in excellent shape but I didn't know anything about them so didn't buy it. Anyone ever shot one? I bet I know one person here that has.

I never shot the classic but I had the benchmark. I gave it to my step daughters husband because he drooled over it so much. I never here from them but oh well. It was a great shooter. The magazines were kind of a pain to load and there wasnt many to be had but that gun would shoot great groups. Al

Have shot one, but never did own one. Not much for semi-auto rifles, but very well made semi auto 22. They did have an issue with the extractor cutting the breech face too much, but it's an easy fix and really has no effect on performance. Probably find some threads on RFC about it.

Other than that, a nice 22 auto with top notch build quality. Just never made it in the 22 semi auto market because of the price and competition with the more affordable guns like the 10/22 and Marlin 60. Also no aftermarket parts and mods for it like the 10/22.

Thanks NCG. What I liked about it was the receiver was made of steel.
