Merry Christmas to Me: Stevens 334

Last Christams, my wife got me a CVLIFE scope, very basic model. Yet, the scope seems better than the one that came on my Marlin 336W. I did not have a rifle that I wanted to put it on, so I got a Stevens 334 (in .308) this Christmas. When the weather breaks, I plan to see how it does at the range.

Nice, glad to see some bolt guns with wood stocks again.
Good looking rifle, it should shoot as nice as it looks.
The last few new Savage rifles I've handle shot good right out of the box.

I had a Stevens 200 for a while in 223, that thing would shoot.
I sold it to help fund another levergun. :ugeek:

That’s a good looking rifle, like the long bolt handle. Yep, the look of a wood/blue firearm just tickles the pleasure button on us oldsters.

That's a good looking rifle, and Savage has a great rep for building rifles that shoot.
The 1-11 twist is perfect for an all-around .308 too.
Let us know how it shoots!

Yes, the wood is what caught my attention as well. Yet, it costed about $100 more than the plastic one. I walked into a LGS and asked about a .308. I was asked, in what platform and how much I wanted to pay. I said, bolt and cheap. I was think Ruger. He came out with a Savage. The trigger felt nice, and the wood looked fine. So, I said, okay.

Range report pending.

There are a lot of airguns made in Turkey, and to me, the most eye-catching aspect is their use of "turkish walnut". These guns are gorgeous! I'm sure yours is too.
