Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

That's actually not too bad compared to similar custom made stocks with that quality of walnut.

Here's some pics of the species (Juglans Regia) that come from that part of the world.

Scroll down for the good stuff. :D

Looks a lot like the All Weather Henry.

From a good friend that has the largest collection of Marlin lever guns that I know.
He's been collecting and researching them his whole life.
This is the 1854 patent that they are talking about. The only thing that is the same is that there's a lever.
This is what the original Henry, the Win. 1866, 1873 & 1876 were based on. This new 1854 looks like the prototype Marlin 1894,
before they decided to just stick with the square bolt.
It may take me a few mins. to get these pics. up as our great internet ain't so grand around here today.

He added a minute ago that it closet to the Original 1873.

That's fine for anyone who would want it. For me, American Walnut is plenty good enough.

I guess it's like a Cadillac or a Rolls Royce. I'll take the Cadillac, lol.
