There is already a thread on it...Why stick it here?
http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14394
Similar to the old Marlin camp 9.

RP
well, because i did not see the thread. It's pretty simple, not much more to it than that. I mean it could have been a nefarious plan to co-opt the thread into devil worship, but nah, I'm saving that for the morning coffee discussion.

Good one, sorry didn't mean to come off so harsh. :(
Little tip, you may or may not know.
Top left of the page, three lines,& Quick links, click.
then it has a drop down, 5th down," active." click.
It takes you to the most recently commented threads.
20-25 topics.

You thinking about one of the 9's?
I have not even checked that thread.

RP
Sorry about my wisearsery,

I clicked the active topics, as that is how I navigate the page, but must have glanced over the 3-page thread at the time.

I'd be a hard sell for me, 5-6 years ago not so much. I bought a MPX gen 2 carbine. It is now an SBR. I have a 9mm MP5K clone that is an SBR. There isn't much gained by a full-length rifle in 9mm. A shorter SBR, specifically at about 8", allows you to maximize your subs, and gets a tad bit more out of your supers.

I start with 'Unread', a narrower view of 'Active Topics'. If I get too far behind I 'Mark all Read' to start fresh.

It will be interesting to see where the competition goes and how successful they will be.

I like the Marlins but Im betting the price will be in the 1200 to 1400 range and that just takes me outa the game. I might be interested if they come back with the 41.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

The 41, oooh, that would be sweet. That would be one I would be interested in, that
and maybe a SS 444. Not that I need either.
I would really like to know how many Henry has built.
And if they are getting a lot of request for them.
Is it still even in their lineup?

Count me in for a .41 also. I've got the goodies for .41 ammo....couple of bullet molds, Win LP primers, 210 XTP's and couple bags of Starline brass....even managed to find a couple boxes of the discontinued Speer half-jacket 220's. The way the market is these days if you've got the ammo you need to buy a gun for it! My revolvers need company. ;)

A 336 in 38-55 might also get my attention. But I think that will be a while coming. Local shop has a 35 Remington in a sidegate. Current price of 950.00

Is that the one with the carved up stock?
I've never seen a Henry in 35 Rem. or 38-55, I wasn't even sure they even made them.
I'd rather have a steel version than the brass.

Yup its the brass model. I know you don’t like the stock but currently thats it for those calibers and the stock doesn’t look that bad in real life. Have you seen one other than a pic?

Nope, I have never seen any side gate models period.
I see a lot of people talkin about 'em, but only seen pics.
I wouldn't mind comparing one to the old Marlins I have to see if it shoots as nicely as they do.
But. I don't see it happening.
