My firearm purchase of 2022 Browning BLR Takedown

Post by Greyhawk » Sat Feb 05, 2022 8:34 pm

I limit myself to one firearm purchase a year. (Mostly!) And this year I wanted a .308. I bounced around everything from semi-autos to bolt actions, always keeping an eye out for a Henry Long Ranger. But, all the Henry .308 were going for $2000 plus when you could find them.
I started leaning more and more toward the Browning BLR. I finally found one in the take down version at a local gun shop. Here's a couple of pic's of the Browning. I also included a picture of one of the Henry's I was interested in.
I'll provide some range reports on the Browning after things warm up!

Nice looking rifle. You are lucky to find one. New Browning or Winchesters are very hard to find.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

That rifle looks like it will withstand the Northern Minnesota winters just fine.

Looks great!
