Not crazy about this first cal. :o
Or a 5-6 lb. trigger pull, but it is a nice looking rifle if ya like Shinny. :D

After my experiences with Henry I'll be looking very hard at a new Marlin/Ruger 357

Like that Ruger left the Marlin Bullseye in the stock. I always liked that feature on Marlins. The article mentioned an adjustable rear but I couldn’t make one out at the rear of the rail that looked to be adjustable for windage. :?:

Sounds like Ruger did away with that Micro-Groove rifling, which is fine with me in the center fires. I don't believe Ruger is finished tinkering with these lever guns yet. Things seem to be headed in the right direction. All good.

Not sure about your statement, but I too would like to see a 1894 357.

I think that rifle is close to perfect, and I love the muzzle threads, full rail and the contoured lever edges. The trigger can easily be fixed, though that should not be required. SHAME on Ruger……

I want a .44 Mag. I sold this 1895 STP in 2014 for three times what I paid for it, but I still regret the loss.

I wonder how many years we will have to wait before we can buy one at a normal discounted price, I won’t pay $1400.

Well if it is like the earlier Marlins, it's not too difficult to improve.
But, your right, it shouldn't have to be done. :o ;)

Don't think it is that much better than the one I have which is a Rem made Marlin. When I bought it some years ago the LGS had 5 of them in stock and I picked the best one I could determine. $695 I believe is what I paid and it has the 18 inch barrel. Went thru it and slicked up a few things added my own sight and shoots great.

Forty, you said you added the sight.
Would that be the Redneck peep?
Couldn't tell from the picture angle.
Good looking Marlin.
