I thought it may be O.K. to show my wife's Marlin's that she has added to our collection. She has five that are all very near mint condition. When I talk about selling off a few she always says "We are not selling mine." They are front to rear.-- 39 AWL (half round half octagon barrel made in '97)---39M 1982--- 39A '1974---39A 1983---39A 1990. She is not crazy about peep sights. Not enough time with them to get use to them.

Bandit, she's an awesome companion. You are a lucky man. Your combined collection of firearms is an absolute treasure. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Sir Henry, There is still some decent buys in this area. Don't ask me why. The second from the bottom is a M and she got that one for $319. The next up was from the same shop last year for $325. The next one she bought on a trip to Florida to the Gator Nat'l drag races for $400. The top one she bought it probably 3 yrs. maybe four yrs. ago for $300 and it was possibly unfired after leaving the factory and it looks like it could be. She gets the good deals. Must be a woman thing. The AWL was $800 and they were only sold through Walmart. Marlin was contracted to build 2000 called Wildlife For Tomorrow. Remington done the shotguns the same year and same number of them and were called the same name as the Marlin and were very dressed up 870's with the gold inlays and engraved. I have my eye on one of those 870's if it comes up for sale. They were both made in '97.

Sir Henry you will have to come for a visit in late winter some time and go 4-wheeling in the snow up on the mountain. The Marlin 39's grow on trees up there that time of year.

Beautiful country and rifle. Looks like custom sights on the 39A.
