Got a chance to pick up another Mosin but not sure

Post by Brando73 » Mon Oct 04, 2021 4:37 pm

I've had a few Nagants and loved them all. I love the platform and they shoot great. I used to pick them up out of the crate with first pick and at a price that would shock people now. Enjoyed sweating out and cleaning out, the Cos out of everything. I kept one and gave two to relatives. I sold a couple and wish I had kept them from the prices...ha. It's not as bad as all that. Kept the one that shot the best with the best orginal everything including the furniture.
I shoot it now and then but not near enough. I keep it on a shadow box I made using bayonetts as rest for the stock and fore grip (look close).

They used to be a bargain basement staple. It seemed they were everywhere for under a hundred dollars.

I like your shadow box display case.

I have several different brands of firearms. Most are better looking than the Mosin I have... its a heavy old clunk... but it is reliable and it will kill a deer .. D-E-A-D if you can aim. I'm keeping the old thing. Also, it gives me a bigger appreciation for the hundreds of thousands (if not more) soldiers who out in harsh conditions, toted those heavy things all over hell and back......

Brando, that’s a first class looking shadow box you made. Nice hammer and sickle too.
