Post by Shakey Jake » Sat Jan 16, 2021 2:19 pm

Got an email notice about this today. It may be old news but new to me. Seems like their always coming up with was to get more money! Also noticed in the business section of the paper that CZ was buying Colt.

I don't know, but it seems to be a solution in search of a problem. I guess there will be some sportsman that absolutely needs this cartridge for the specific critter they want to dispatch. All I can say is; if you are that person - go for it.

A few years ago, the military was looking at the 6.8 for use in urban combat, but it would have only been good out in the fields to about 300yds. The 6.5 had a longer range. Now the 6.8 Winchester seems to meet the military criteria. Lethality increase over the 5.56 with the longer range.
Will be interesting to see where this all goes...
