Buying good used firearms I think depends on the area you are in. There isnt a good gun shop around here that is doing alot of buying, trading and getting good used firearms. I think things have slowed down a little also as I see more stuff that was hard to get now available. Powder Valley sent an email earlier with a bunch of primers on sale. Havent seen that in a while.

Not here either. Have to venture into the rural farm towns much further away to find one.

Thanks N.C. Gal,
I appreciate the link you sent for fall foliage…..
I also Googled some other info….seems like the east coast is a good area with things to do.

Big Al, some models are listed on its site: https://www.smith-wesson.com/products/1854 , and Grab-A-Gun list two models available: https://grabagun.com/firearms/rifles/le ... and+Wesson. Yet, both are more than I am willing to spend.

Totally get the to much to spend. I looked at the Marlin about a year ago and probably would have bought one but the gun shop were I looked at it would not bend at all on the price. Then later they were selling it for over 100.00 less than they wanted from me. My Henry SS in 357 is good enough for me for what I would do with either the Smith or the Marlin.
