RR, I think I found it on GB. Only one listed, although there may be others out there "in the wild." Interesting to read the listing - unless you're plugged into how it all works (which, I guess, anyone who would be looking at this should be), you'd never know that Uberti makes this rifle.

I’ve seen better advertisements on GB but all of that additional verbiage takes time. In the long run not sure how much that work pays off for a vendor on GB. I think individuals reselling generallly do better. Generally I have a pretty good idea what I am looking for before conducting my GB searches.

All I was trying to do was find a live example of a NIB version of the rifle that this thread is about. Agreed some of the copywriting on GB leaves a lot to be desired. Makes you wonder how this particular guy got to be a "Top 10" seller, doesn't it? Not a lot of attention to detail.

Although I edited my original comments this is fairly typical from what I’ve seen on GB. It really pays to know what your looking for before you go on GB.

The rifle itself is a Miroku Winchester so it’s made in Japan and the rifle was sent to Winchester n St Louis for repair.

Ok - the time frame now makes more sense.

Yep - Cimarron is just an importer - not a manufacturer.
I wonder how many order from them thinking they are a US Manufacturer - and then see the reality on the barrel when they receive it.
Not a condemnation of Uberti but I suspect some would not expect this.

If they do just a little bit of looking it won’t be a surprise. Plenty of information out there. I do more thorough research on things costing much less. It took me much longer to determine whether to go with A Miroku Winchester vs a Uberti. I couldn’t find a whole lot of comparisons on these and I had seen neither in person.

Uberti is well known in the CAS and SASS world and are used in lots of movies.
Maybe not so much sports shooters or hunters.

Mine is from Cimarron. Can't speak for others but quality, fit and finish on mine are exceptional on both rifle and pistol. I would buy another without hesitation.

Uberti sells tons of these rifles and they aren’t cheap, I can’t imagine they do so and they wouldn’t be great rifles. I just found some of the things that Winchester and Henry Repeating Arms to be more compelling to me.

Nice looking furniture was one of the things I was going for on all three.
