Change of mind on Marlin

The Henry might be lighter, but it's no Marlin. I would have bought the Marlin and got a Henry later if I still wanted one.
Ditto this - weight wouldn't be a deciding factor between an original Marlin and Henry!

$400 for that rifle is a fantastic deal, Bandit - that guy is going to regret not buying it some day down the road...
Yes it is- by at least $200 (maybe a bit more), and yes he will regret it.
Always loved my 39A from the day I bought it for $100 at an OKC gun show.
Mine has been in drydock' for a while (mostly because I 'stole' the Williams sight off of it for another rifle but I think I need to get another on the way for it, and give it a good tear down and cleaning and get it ready for the deadly pinecone wars!
Here is a good deal on Williams FP sight for 39A Marlins

Brought home a 1958 39A Mountie.
It came with a Marlin Micro-vie 4x scope, that I removed a replaced with a Williams FP/tk receiver sight.
