Thanks for the comments. We were lucky to get the second picture. He passed away about 6 months later.

He taught my brother and I to shoot with that old stevens.

If you look carefully at the "family" portrait, row 6 no. 2 is dad's high-standard .22 pistol.

And him shooting it in the early '60s near Death Valley.

One other oldie is my maternal grandfather's (He died 1937) model 1903 Colt made in 1920.

My brother has his Winchester .22 auto saddle rifle and his .44 Winchester 1873. I need to get pictures of those.
