Anschutz Biathlon Rifles

Post by rickhem » Thu Feb 19, 2026 9:19 am

Here's a pretty interesting video that popped up on my feed today. It's a quick overview of how Anschutz does their biathlon rifles, including some testing. I also thought that they showed some pretty neat clips of the assemblers and others that put the rifles together, along with some of the tools they use.

I enjoyed that video. Got caught in the youtube loop that took me to a side by side comparison of the German, Russian, and American offerings. They cost $5,000, $3,500, and $1,200 set up to compete. In this case, the performance shows you do get what you pay for.
