That's a surprise to me. I wouldn't expect them to be as good as Henry, but I figured they would be close. They give off that image really.

Did you establish any kind of a relationship with the tour guide? Might be worth a call back and let them know you were on a tour through there not long ago. You bought one of their guns because you liked what you saw and were given the impression that they would take care of there customers. Didnt think companies in Texas operated like that. Put them on a guilt trip. Maybe you will get a positive response.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Bond Arms Factory Tour
I considered doing just that .... in addition, I've had a long phone conversation with the owner and I considered calling him as well .... right now I believe that its best to get it back before rocking the boat too hard .... they are well aware that I help with 3 very different forums that have ongoing threads about their derringers ..... the fact is, their business is so strong they are months behind in filling existing orders .... with that being the case, they may not care ... its also a fact that they make very strong ones that shouldn't need much service after the sale

Just because you have so much business you can ignore things that need attention isnt good for business in the long run. That kind of attitude will travel well. Right now I wouldnt buy one if I wanted one so bad I could taste it.

Re: Bond Arms Factory Tour
they most certainly do .... after our personal tour of their facility and meeting many of their workers, I was very high on their entire operation .... I'm still convinced that they make every effort to put out a top quality productCowboy Gun Fan wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 5:44 pmThat's a surprise to me. Re: Bond Arms Factory Tour
just got a call from the fellow at Bond who repaired our Roughneck .... he said a spring had broken and a piece lodged in a place that it wouldn't allow the hammer to go forward .... he went on to say that all other parts are fine and nothing else needs to be fixed .... he said it will be shipped today "via FedEx, FedEx Priority Overnight" .... if it gets here tomorrow, it will have gotten there, been repaired, and returned in exactly 2 weeks .... I intend to think about it a while after it gets here and come up with an overall comment

Re: Bond Arms Factory Tour
delivered as promised by FedEx .... per the enclosed note, the problem was a broken hammer spring .... it was well protected by packaging .... after this issue, I've decided to use Carlson's snap caps .... I figure that can't hurt .... observation : as mentioned in post #34, when we first purchased it, the trigger pull was rather heavy .... over time it smoothed out but in looking back, I now believe the OEM hammer spring wasn't right from the get-go .... as repaired, there is a significant improvement in the trigger pull and I'm looking forward to firing it ....
