one of the neat things about Bond derringers is you can purchase additional barrels that are easy to switch .... example : the Roughneck model has a $269 MSRP .... the MSRP for an additional 2.5" barrel is $130 ... the MSRP for an additional 3" barrel is $160 .... in short, it wouldn't be a large expense to expand the number of calibers one could have on hand

Was interesting that the .410 loads displayed more target damage. Barrel just way to short for a typical .45-70 load to use up the powder.

the way the derringer rolled in his hand and the hammer slammed into the web of his hand between thumb and first finger, his hand had to be sore for several days .... off camera I can't help but wonder if he dropped it ..

I think that is one reason they are so popular. I have two receivers and five barrels. They switch so fast it’s like changing a magazine. Well maybe not that fast.

Oh great, here I go again.

I have never considered owning a derringer but now that I see the Bond is available in 327 Fed Mag and 10mm I’m thinking maybe I should have one just for fun. I’m a long time fan boy of those two calibers.......... well, time to go take a look at the Bond website.

I have one. It’s also good for a 45 Colt.

agree .... I'm interested in their low recoil calibers like 380 and 32 H&R .... having fired a 327 Henry, that caliber intrigues me .... I don't reload for any of those calibers so I wouldn't consider them until reloading supplies become more available .... as noted, I'm strongly considering a 38/357 Roughneck

That .357/.38 is a great round for the Bonds, nice thing about Bonds if you don’t like that caliber there is always more caliber barrels. Very easy to change barrels!

I’m not sure I would want to shoot a 357 mag in a Bond! The 38 Special is a nice caliber for it and I’ve shot plenty through mine. The .22LR is nice too but not much bang for your buck.

I almost got the 38/357 as it is the same caliber as my Ruger Vaquero, but I just liked the idea of a 410. I believe it will be a good snake shot. Then, I also finally get to own something that will shoot a 45 Colt, the good 'ol nostalgic Old West caliber.

Of all the calibers the 410 is the most fun to shoot. I’ve never shot 45 Colt in mine.

Looked the weight of the .410/45 Rowdy and it is listed at 20 oz. My .45 Colt Charter Bulldog weight is 22 oz but would weigh more with the extra 3 rounds. The Bulldog is a bit jumpy with standard 45 Colt loads.

I'd love to have the grips .... earlier today I spent a good while on the phone with Gordon Bond, the owner of Bond Arms .... he's a very nice guy .... as soon as we get home I'll be ordering Roughneck .... it will come with the standard, black rubber grips .... rosewood grips would sure look good on it ..
