Old School

semiautomatics are fun to play with and there is something to be said for going out and having a good time plinking .... guess I'm old school (OK, no guessing about it, I'm Old School) but recreational shooting to me is hitting my target .... while that can be done with a firearm of most any design, bolt action rifles seem to be at the head of the line .... for hunting my favorite rifle actions have long been bolt and levers .... one thing I really like about the Browning BLR is it is a leaver action that locks a rotary bolt in place .... bolt actions seem to be adaptable to shells of most any length .... our family's strongest bolt action is chambered in 300 WBY mag and its smallest is a 22 LR .... that's a pretty good size gap

I have a 10/22 with a bump-fire stock on it. It shoots around 400 rounds a minute and can empty a 25 round magazine in seconds. I use to say I make up for accuracy with volume.
