I bought one about a month ago and haven't shot it yet. I do pick it up and work the action and bet I've cycled it a thousand times.

It will put a smile on your face when you do SH. Ive shot more 22 in the last 3 weeks that I have in the last 3 years. Ammo shortage kind of took me out of the 22 mood. Al

I know this is an old thread but wanted to respond.

I bought a new pump and felt the barrel was just too long and front heavy plus like others have said the pump action was too short and stiff. I have a 22 carbine that I absolutely love but traded off the pump. My wife now has the carbine and I acquired a very clean Winchester 62A. The 62A is what I’d consider the perfect or near perfect pump.Even though it has a long barrel, the barrel is round and lightweight and doesn’t feel front heavy at all. The pump action is longer, easier and very smooth.

I’d love to see Henry produce a pump based on the 22 carbine with a shorter round barrel and longer pump action.

I really like mine. I bought it as a companion to my 35 year old Rossi pump. Don’t know why they aren’t more popular. I much prefer a pump to a lever action in a 22. Guess it’s the old man in me.

Another Henry pump rifle owner. Have a red dot sight on mine. Once I got the action broke in like others have mention its become one of my favorite 22's to shoot.

My pump .22mag should be here any day....looking forward to breaking it in and seeing if they still have the same issues from years past, or if Henry has addressed some of what I've read about.

My 22 pump finally arrived today. Beautiful firearm, great wood grain and deep bluing. Then I tried to work the action. Big disappointment. The first pump was tight the second and third attempts much worse. I tried a few drops oil on rails but made little difference. Some cycles are somewhat ok and others are extremely tight. Is this normal for Henrys pump? This is my first Henry’s. The dealer was pretty good and says hopefully he can replace, it maybe, next month if he gets anymore in stock.
Is this a common issue with the pump models?
Hopefully I can come back a boast about accuracy.
