Its never going to be as smooth as there leverguns are. Put about 250 plus rounds through mine before it loosened up. It was tight before that.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

My 22 pump finally arrived today. Beautiful firearm, great wood grain and deep bluing. Then I tried to work the action. Big disappointment. The first pump was tight the second and third attempts much worse. I tried a few drops oil on rails but made little difference. Some cycles are somewhat ok and others are extremely tight. Is this normal for Henrys pump? This is my first Henry’s. The dealer was pretty good and says hopefully he can replace, it maybe, next month if he gets anymore in stock.
Is this a common issue with the pump models?
Hopefully I can come back a boast about accuracy.

I bought one about a month ago and haven't shot it yet. I do pick it up and work the action and bet I've cycled it a thousand times.
Maybe I should take mine to the range soon. It’s still unfired.

Like mine a lot. It isn't stiff and it is very accurate. Comfortable to shoot.

My old 121 has lived through my dad, his brothers, my brothers and me is starting to have problems. I’m thinking about a new pump, I leaning toward the Henry.
