My Pump Action, Love it.

Post by jstanfield103 » Wed Jan 18, 2017 5:26 pm

Guy's use to have a Remington 12C that was a great pump action rifle. It was made in 1924 and you always had to watch what you feed her ( no high velocity ammo) . I Finally got tired of looking for SV ammo during the 22 shortage and sold her.

I got the itch for another 22 pump and bought this Henry. Love it, it's accurate and fun to shoot. I had to cut the stock down 1" for my short arms, and the action is firm (takes a firm pull to cycle) but it is a joy to have and shoot. Topped her off with a scope and good to go.

In that picture you could still see the sanding marks (discoloration) where I cut the stock down. It no longer looks that way and you can not tell it was ever cut down now. Finally found the proper color stain.

Nice. How do you like having a scope on the rifle?

I'm glad you're enjoying your new rifle. Image

I think Henry have been really clever to introduce a new pump action rifle. The sheer nostalgia and fun components are difficult to beat! :D

I really do like the scope. I have aging eyes and like that the scope makes it a lot easier to see the targets. The scope for me just makes it a joy to shoot. I also have a Browning BL-22 Micro Midas that is not scoped, so I really have the best of all worlds with these two rifles.

O.K. How many different calibers did/does Henry offer in a pump platform?

It would be nice if Henry would also make it in 45 Colt or 357 Mag. Something like the old Colt Lightning. That would be really cool.
