New Bolt, Same Old Problem

Is anybody seeing this kind of bolt wear on their H003T 22LR pumps? It looks like the locking bar is deforming the bottom of the bolt, causing a small divot and raising a small lip. After firing, the forend and bolt lockup after moving back just slightly. I have to push the forend fully forward or use the grooved release button in front of the trigger before I can cycle the action.

Second bolt after about 500 rounds. First bolt replaced by Henry when rifle went back for headspace problems. Didn't show this kind of wear



Third bolt after only 200 rounds.



Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

I would be calling Henry. I know its disappointing but the problem needs to be fixed or your money back.

I’m going to guess the problem is not with the bolts. My thoughts are that the pin in the receiver is off or the hole in the lever is not in the correct place.

Sometimes trying to figure it out yourself isnt always good. I would send the entire gun in for a once over. Nobody likes doing it but often times its a better choice. Ive had to do it a bunch of times between a couple of different gun MFG's

Look, I'd call henry. But *might be* a phenomenon that happens when two pieces of steel begin working together. They wear their working surfaces and make marks like this. Usually, it happens, and both parts reach a point where they mesh, and then the wear progresses no further during the normal life of the parts.

Since this has happened a couple of times to you, here is what I'd do. I'd file that ridge down until it is flush with the bolt. Once that is done, I'd mark both bearing surfaces with a Dyekem blue pen.

I'll bet money that area is the only area that touches.

That could work if that ridge is the source of failure of the bolt to lockup after cycling.
