I wish, but have to wait until I can buy it from a Canadian dealer. Darn border patrol! Should be like the old days, I just ride down to Miles City, spend a day or two at the hotel, and win the new rifle in a card game. A couple of good bar fights, a gunfight in the street, saddle up and ride home. :)

The LGS Henry dealer is actually getting me a quote for price and ETA to Canada, Mr. Imperato told me spring but you never know they might show up sooner or hopefully they can order one.

it might pay to email Mr. Imperato to find out what's up .... who knows, if anybody can expedite one for you, he would be the one

As much as I would like to have one theres that 1800 dollar price tag that has a big hurddle to it. I also wonder how much I would shoot it as the wood on the one that I found is outstanding. Id be afraid of the dings and scratches. Maybe I shouldnt be but man you spend 1800 on a gun the last thing I want to do is put a big ole ding in the stock. Im sure its just me and how I am but trying to overcome that is hard for me. Al

Actually there's no rush, cuz I won't have the dough until spring anyway, at least that's the plan right now. Assuming no truck repairs, house repairs, horse repairs, etc etc... ;)

I hear ya on that one. I'd likely put a leather stock cover on it, but then you cover up the nice wood. It's a cowboy conundrum for sure. :?

Good news! The 45 Colt H011C Henry Original will be available from my local gun store by May. With luck I'll be packing one horseback this summer!

It's a lot of dough but it really is the rifle I had my eye on before I bought the Big Boy. If it had been available in 45 Colt I would have parted with my summer wages long before now. It's a gorgeous rifle and just screams of the old frontier days. Fingers crossed.

Ya their wood is out of this world. My Cimarron 1860 won't have lumber like that on it.
