I posted in the lounge that , at one time - a long time ago, I was involved in another "hobby" and ran a message-board very similar to this in those days. I was also a member of other forums of the same interest. My Forum Handle is a hold over from those days. gdc = my initials. 25 and 06 were my uniform numbers.

Boring as heck I know but that's it.

Mine is an odd combination, my favorite old west character is Doc Holliday, but, most gun forums already have that username taken, and my favorite chainsaw of all time was the Stihl009 top handle saw.

Nothing wrong with the Winchester, I have 3 but I'm more of the Marlin type.
Welcome aboard Dan.

Dan, just a little bit of caution if you hang out here. These guys are the greatest bunch of enablers I have seen since being active on the Marlin forum several years ago. Soon you might be changing your name to DanHenry22.

I'm 81 and like any brand of Lever .22 that functions properly. A Marlin 39M Mountie is high on my want list and also a Browning. 'Til then I'll get along fine with my Winchester 9422, Henry Golden Boy and Uberti Silverboy that make up my .22 Lever-Action collection.

I also think a Henry H-001T might be the perfect trail buddy as it's much easier to attach a scope than the Goldenboy.

nice looking collection .... we have a JM model 39 with a very smooth action .... it is one of the rifles we use to teach our grandkids to shoot .... its biggest negative is being heavy with an emphasis on being nose heavy ....

Nice little collection, I've always liked 9422's and would love to add one here.

Geez, I’m such a dolt. Dan, I now see you have been a member here for several years so you are well aware of the Product Purchasing Pals Sir Henry so artfully named.

Beautiful line up of lever 22’s you have there. Back in the 80’s (I believe) Winchester brought out the XTR series of rifles with beautiful walnut stocks with deep cut checkering and a wonderful deep blue. I have had a 9422 XTR in my mind since and I should get active about scratching that itch. A few years ago my wife had the Browning BLR-22 you mentioned. Beautiful rifle but she struggled with dropping the hammer (scope installed) and had a couple of harmless accidental discharges so we got her a bolt action 22 and she’s more comfortable with that. That Browning was very nice.

No problem, I had a Winchester 9422 XTR but stupidly traded it off. Your Browning needed an offset hammer for easy let off.

My 9422 S/N starts with F18 and the 9422 XTR was in the F45 range.

My handle is a nick-name given to me by my friends wife. I was our Harley chapter president and Angie would call me Headhog. Angie passed from breast cancer is 2013 and we miss her dearly. She was a great friend.

Mine is fairly simple.

My daughter and I went through the YMCA Princess program (Y-Princess, now Y-Guides). This area in NC has what may be the largest and most active program in the nation. It is a fantastic program for fathers and off-spring and has given us some great memories of camps and activities. It’s designed to make encourage fathers to have more involvement with their children.

It has also thought me never to trust a weather forecast (camp weekend that was supposed to be in the 70s and 80s turned into 40s and 50s. I didn’t pack appropriately for real weather).

For the program each participant is required to create an Indian name.

My “Y-Princess” name was Patient Wolf. Her name was “Dancing Wind”.

For those familiar with the program I will sign off with the traditional “How How”.

This is my first and only forum ever.
Signed up and was looking at my very first Henry and first rifle, the Big Boy Classic .357, and thought "Hey if you don't like my Henry you can kiss my brass" I can't remember how or why I even signed up but I'm so glad I did!

I like all the enablers on this site lol and I'm affectionately known and KMB
Since joining I have a few more firearms, ammo, reloading equipment, a Sportsmans Warehouse credit card, a carry conceal permit, two range memberships and zero regrets :-)

Real name is Darin, named after the guy on Bewitched.

Hey KMB, your accumulation is a nice start.

Bewitched, now that was a fun show back in the day. Always loved it when his M-I-L called him Derwood.
