Best of Made in Wisconsin

Post by Cofisher » Thu Oct 10, 2019 3:02 pm

I just saw that the Henry AW Rifle won the award as best 'made in Wisconsin '. Woo Hoo! I, and many of you voted in this event. I am sure Henry appreciates our support. Not really a fair contest. The AW Rifle is simply awesome. And, Wisconsin should be proud of their local business.

GO HENRY!

hadn't heard of the award .... thanks for the heads'up .... looked it up and found the following :

"MILWAUKEE, Oct. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Henry Repeating Arms and their Big Boy All-Weather lever action rifle won the 'Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin' competition organized by the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) from a contestant pool of over 150 different products and companies. The Big Boy All-Weather, which is manufactured in Henry's Rice Lake, Wisconsin facility, was nominated earlier this year in August and then went all the way through 4 rounds of popular votes. Over 30,000 votes were cast in the last round. The rifle, available in .44 Magnum, .357 Magnum and .45 Colt, is a popular choice for hunters that need a firearm that is less susceptible to harsh environmental conditions."

I have the Yellow Boy in .357 Mag and love it although it is pretty heavy if you have to carry it very far.
I mounted a scope and large lever and shoot it at the range. Gets a of of attention.

Sling on it? Found my Brass .30-30 got pretty heavy too during the first hour out tromping through the wetland looking for Nutria. I put a Brass Stacker sling on it before going out again.
