Holland Grilled Pork Butt

Post by JEBar » Sun Jan 13, 2019 7:05 pm

yesterday we grocery shopped at the H.E.B. grocery in Conroe, TX .... on the way in we picked up a SALE brochure which featured bone in pork butts for 87 cents a pound .... when we got to them they looked good so we put a 10+ pounder in our cart .... I spent most of the day slow grilling it for just over 6 hours on our Holland Companion Grill .... the results are outstanding .... the first 3 pictures were taken when it was put on the grill, at 3 hrs, and when it was done .... the fourth and fifth pictures show it with the outer layer or fat removed and after being deboned .... the last two show our wireless thermometer ..... tonight we will have it as shown .... after letting it cool overnight we plan to chop and freeze it tomorrow ...

Always a great part of your sharing of the RV lifestyle, Jim.
Almost can smell that grilled pork!

What's your plans for side dishes, etc., when you finally put it on the table?
