Mémory...

Post by BruniX » Thu Jun 06, 2019 1:29 pm

today, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the "D day", or guys from your home, some of them very young , came to risk their lives, and unfortunately, for many lose it on our beach, in the name of a certain idea of freedom.

we do not forget. we need to never forget.

Our memory honors their courage and sacrifice.

"Those who forget the past are condemned to relive it"

Thank you, Brunix, for a very poignant post. "The Greatest Generation" is not a misnomer.

Nat Geo has a few new specials about Normandy and late war history showing this week. Interesting stuff - some I never knew.

I've visited both Grenoble, France and Taipei, Taiwan. On both occasions received unsolicited appreciation for the United States role in liberating their countries, from young people no less. Remembrance there is not being forgotten or fading.
