Just found this site.....

Post by mmargotta » Sat May 25, 2019 1:13 pm

I'm no good at introductions; but I always welcome a chance to discuss lever guns.
I have a Big Boy .357 and have just ordered a 24" Frontier octagon, should be here Tuesday. :D
Looking forward to putting a Skinner sight on that one.
My little collection includes:
3 Rossi's; 24" octagon Brass receiver '92 (rare, from what I've heard). .45 Colt
24" octagon steel receiver '92 .357 with Marble Tang sight.
16" Stainless '92 w Marble tang sight. .45 Colt

18.5 Marlin 1895 Guide gun 45-70
20" Winchester 1894 Canadian Centennial Octagon barrel 30-30
and a "Red Ryder" BB gun ( it's what started it all....)

Oh, and an M1 Garand which would be even better if it had a lever! LOL

I'm looking forward to reading some valuable info from members!

Got two commemoratives myself - a 20" 'Buffalo Bill' and a 26 " 1966 100 year commemorative.
And an 'original' 1899 26" 'Klondike' Sporting rifle.

Welcome from Wickiup Junction, Oregon!

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Welcome from the TV, Oregon. My Daisy Winchester BB gun is what got me started.

Welcome!!!

I got started on a Dasiy BB Gun myself. It wasn't a Red Ryder bnut it was a Daisy. Sure wish they made them like they used to. It actually had a real wooden stock and very much more like a 22 than a BB Gun at the time.

I too am a big fan of lever guns and Winchesters specifically. All fairly recent acquisitions and pistol caliber so I still unfortunately have minimal if any expertise.

My Dad bought a Crossman 760 in 1968 I would get it out of its hiding place and shoot in my backyard.
Taughtmyself how to shoot reading Hunting and Gun magazines.
Skeeter and Cooper were favorites

Welcome to the site. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Started shooting with Crossman BB and Pellet rifles and a Pellet pistol. Still have the rifles, don't know what happened to the pistol.
