Keep in mind that this is also a brass receiver and brass has a much higher tensile strength than steel. Being a "tensile" metal it has a higher ability to bend and does not break easily. I used to own a manufacturing company and I spent a lot of time tempering, annealing and working with brass, steel, aluminum, gold and silver. We made our own tools for our machinery. Heck I made replacement parts for my Montesa when I rode Trials. I'd have no qualms using that gun.
