Unseen cost of buying a Henry, wife's weatherby

Post by Me78569 » Sun Apr 14, 2019 8:35 pm

I had a hidden costs when I bought my Henry LR 6.5 ,.....my wife wanted a new gun for herself :D.

Spent a few weeks at various gun shops having her hold up various guns. Was thinking about a .243 for her but we stumbled upon this vanguard Camilla in 6.5 creedmoor, which was designed for women. Shorter pull and a high check rest. It fits me like garbage but fits her nicely.

She has really liked it so far, and it gave me an excuse to buy Reloading gear for 6.5.

Happy wife happy life

Having a wife involved in the guns and shooting sports is rare. I wish mine would get into it. Im sure there are others here that wish the same. You're a lucky man to have that and there would be no limit for me if she wanted another gun.

If my wife got into shooting, I'd have to sleep with one eye open.

I wish my wife wanted a gun. She is afraid of guns and complains about me having guns in the house (in a locked safe !).
It would be so nice to go to the shooting range together but she won't.

Be careful what you ask for, guys. My husband will tell you just how expensive it is to support a wife who has an addiction to shooting. :)

If he screams to loud ask him if he'd rather have the alternative and have a wife that ask him why he needed another gun when he asked to buy one.

.
mysteriously one day my wife stopped asking that question. sometime later I overheard her on the phone say "...he's retired and needs something to do..."
now it more about availability of funds at the moment I want another.
