Well, Mother Nature decided to tease us a bit so far. Rather than the predicted 18", a light powder fell continuously last night all the way up to bedtime and was still falling when I went to bed at around 1am. I woke off and on during the night, and the light powder was still falling. Then, around 3am, the falling snow suddenly took on a sound as it began to hit the metal vents and gutters on the roof. "Uh, Oh," I thought. "Sleet" Well, nothing I could do about that, so I took "Option B" and rolled over and went back to sleep. Good plan.

I woke up this morning and we had a winter ground cover. About two inches of pristine snow... but, Mother had tricked us and overlaid the snow with that opaque ice formed by falling sleet. Everything was covered. I'll not be venturing out into it. The porches, deck, and the sidewalk around the shop are all dangerous, and the wheel chair ramp would be a wheelchair bobsled run. (Wait, That could be fun.)

Eh... Coffee is brewing and the stoneware soldiers are standing to on the counter ready to do their duty. This is a day to sit inside and enjoy a movie. How about: "Cool Running"

Good Monday morning to Everyone!
Just finished my double mocha out of my Henry mug. Snow still clinging to everything outside. Predicted is a slight warming trend this week, so snow should slide off the trees and bushes. Interesting that for next weekend, a duplicate winter storm is already forecast. Glad it will hit again on Saturday. There are less folk going to work, and it gives the street maintenance crews better access to clearing the roads.

Stay safe in your winter wonderland!

Coffee is on and Miss T is out doing her morning critter duties. It's twenty seven degrees. MaNature decided to be kind and all we got out of that long snowfall was a short couple inches covered in sleet. WE never lost power although there were plenty in the county that did. I understand another storm is headed this way. Hope "ma" wasn't warming up for a big show.

27. Clear, sunny and breezy. Maybe 49 later. Storm #3 broke up over the Pacific and Storm #4 looks like it's shifting North into Alaska. Next weather pattern in the Pacific is further south and headed into California. Current air pattern suggests it'll move across Nevada, Utah, SW Wyoming, Colorado and spread out going east from there.

ugly morning at Lake Conroe, just north of Houston .... cool & damp .... misting rain to the point car wipers have to be set mid way on the intermittent scale .... supposed to set in and rain most of the afternoon .... great day to rest, sharpen a few blades, watch The Shootist on the Western Channel and possibly reclean our BBS 44 Mag .... not because it needs it, simply because I enjoy doing so .. ;)..
