No HENRY single shot shotguns here in

Post by Catherine » Fri Mar 16, 2018 1:10 pm

Western Montana.

My husband went to 5 stores all around town on Thursday and to our top gun store in Ronan the other day and NO one had a HENRY single shot shotgun to look at.

One local store HAD a Henry lever action shotgun but it was sold. The other store had one Henry lever action shotgun but it was in a sealed box waiting for the buyer.

He was looking for the steel/walnut single shot shotgun in .410 bore.

He was looking at another Glock for conceal or open carry too.

My observation around here is that, despite all the new models Henry has introduced in the past couple of years, the stores around here don’t stock them. They generally have quite a few Henry rifles, but it’s the old reliables.

Catherine
I haven't seen either shotgun or rifle in the single shot. I would be interested in seeing a 12 ga. and holding one and looking at the quality. I holding off buying a Remington 12ga until I get to look one over.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Thanks Big Al.

My husband was interested in a .410 and in steel/walnut.

That shotgun is pretty.

I received a flyer for the Rice Creek Gun Fair a couple of days ago. One of the adds is for an opportunity to see and shoot the Henry .410 lever action and the single shot shotguns at this "try and buy" event. It's coming up in about 3 weeks, for those interested in a journey to the Brainerd, MN area. I've gone for the last 5 years, but might not make it this year - so somebody needs to step up ;) .

Played with one today at a LGS. Felt well balanced and came up to the shoulder nicely. It was very pretty. Then there was a .410 that was real pretty. And then there was a .357 carbine that was......Oh heck, there was about 10 Henry's and they all looked pretty and they all said they were lonely and wanted somebody to hold them. I walked away with tears in my eyes. Another day, perhaps.
