One of the things that bugs me in Canada, is the fact that I can't get a .327 Magnum revolver and lever gun.

Re: Rifle in .327 Federal
Just got my 327 carbine two days ago. Fortunately only had to wait a month for one to come in as I thought it would be longer. Wanted to get one because I wasn't sure how long they would be produced. Itching to shoot it but the weather hasn't been real cooperative. Would be interested to know if you are choosing to go open sights or put optics on it. Can we share load data on this forum? As a side note was pleased to discover that the tube holds 8 rounds instead of the advertised 7.

I've just been playing with the open sights.
I'm having fun with Trail Boss loads. You just fill the case to the base of the seated bullet; don't compress the powder. They seem to like 115 gr bullets.

Re: Rifle in .327 Federal
As a plea of .327 insanity ... I've been a real kid on this one. I can't remember last time I had this much fun with a cartridge in a lever and six gun. It may have been close when the .32 H&R came out in the Marlin.
My LGS got in a couple more .327s this week. He ordered from several distributors over the past year, trying to get one in for me. I put another one in debtors prison. A few payments and it will be out.
The SN are still under 500. Which explains the comparative scarcity. Less than 10 per state.
I really didn't need more than one, but my gut tells me these will be a short run. The wife encouraged me to get one for each of our kids when I upgrade to a higher shooting range in the sky. I think they will be a good investment for them, even if they are lovingly used.
And have I mentioned, I really like that cartridge?

Took my .327 carbine out to an area range today and shot it for the first time. Used factory American Eagle in 85 and 100 grains at 25 yards with open sights set from the factory. First two 85 grainers were pretty much dead on about 1.5 inches apart. Switched to 100 grains and those 2 shots were touching about 1.5 inches low. Then shot 3 more 100 grainers that strung out to about 2". Shot 3 more 85 grainers roughly an inch high but grouped just under one inch.
