Anyway got my mind on shooting and the Winchester 1892 in 32-20 shot really well and didn't have to touch the sights....that little blade 24 inches down the barrel is tiny in that little rear sight notch! I started off with the Black Hills ammo which was the hottest at 1150-1185 FPS with 115 gr.cast bullet. Next was some rounds of the HSM Cowboy ammo clocking in slightly slower at 1050-1068 FPS. Both shot well on my targets out to 40 yds. and then to 80 on the gong in the woods. Paper target not bad from standing position at 30 yds. trying to hold on target.
The fun began when shooting the small steel critter targets and had those flying around except that BIG fat one!

Then pulled out my S&W Model 686 Plus 7 shot to take down that outlaw target with DA point shooting from 10 yds and not too bad with hot 158 gr. XTP rounds. Plus a finish off shots with the 20 ga. Coach gun to put the bad dude away for good!
Really was plinking fun with that 32-20 Winchester and will have it out again soon when the companion Cimarron 32-20 six shooter arrives.
