^^^^^^^^^^
Saw some ugly flooding in Tennessee and Chicago on the news this morning and also some possible glacier flooding in Alaska. Ugh!

Woke up to a pleasant 61 here in camp after another hot night in the RV. Cold front coming in today bringing the temps down considerably but bringing winds with it. High today 91, tomorrow 84 and Friday 78. 78, yea! With 25 mph sustained winds gusting to 40 we plan to stay off the water today. Had a nice long cruise yesterday reaching a place 15 miles up the lake where a large wildfire burned a month ago.

Hard to imagine this nice flat water as seen from camp will be boiling and churning in a few hours. :o

62 and sunny now with a high of 84 later. Been in the mid to upper 90’s so 84 is going to feel great. Yesterday we stayed off the lake due to the forecast of big wind gusts. Sat in camp all morning looking at some very flat water just begging for a wake. Wind was supposed to arrive mid day but nothing…getting a little angry with the weather guesser but finally in the early afternoon the winds picked up. Still weren’t nearly as bad as forecast but I was happy I wasn’t trying to dock a pontoon boat in the winds we had. The storm must have arrived late as after we went to bed it got very bad. Definitely gusts to 40+. My wife got concerned about a tree falling on us (she has a phobia about getting crushed by a falling tree) but I heard no limbs breaking or trees falling. If so I would have done a quickie pack up and driven the MH to the boat launch (2 min away) where no tree would fall. Made it thru the night fine and all is calm today. Heading out for a day on a beach somewhere here in a little while. Nice flat water :D
