Calendar pics.
Need some input. On another gun forum they do a calendar each year, with members pics.
This year we get two entries pre member to be voted on to see who makes the
I've been fortunate to have had a winnig entry each year.
We have til the 20th to post an entry, I thought I would have y'all help me decide.
And open to advice and critiquing
Maybe we can have fun with this.
#1
Winchester 92 #2 Uberti 45 colt & Marlin Texan 30-30 #3 Henry H001 & H&R 949
#4 Then we have two Cowboys and the Texan.
Shorty Cowboy is a 45 colt & the tall one is a 38-55, and the 30-30
#5 The Henry 44 & a 1860
#6 And the trio again standing in the barn.
Got a couple more, I got interrupted and the others wouldn't load.

Re: Calendar pics.
I like the Henry, Uberti pic, and not just because of the Guns...
I like the spurs and the stag knife as well. The leaves, the pipe, the old jug... everything just says old west. Nice composition.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Calendar pics.
First, they are all quite good IMO. I particularly like the Winchester 92 the best, followed by the trio in the barn.
You mentioned advise and critiques, so I hope you don't mind, but I ran the Winchester 92 through LR and increased saturation, warmed it a bit, lightened the shadows in the receiver and stock, and a few other minor adjustments. Here is what I would do with it. Of course, everyone has their own preferences, and I admit I tend to overdue saturation a bit. In the end you need to do it to your satisfaction.

CH,
Liked what you did to the rifle, but I like the for ground more in the original.
Appreciate your insight. Thanks also.

Re: Calendar pics.
And how about a late entry
#10
As most know the first 3 are Henrys, a 44 bbb, 41 bbs, & 22 H001. Then 2 Win. 30-30s a Classic and a Ranger.
Marlin Cowboy 45 colt & 1892 32 colt, Rossi 357.
The rest are Marlins, 444ss, chopped 35R, JC Higgins 35R, 30-30 (my first),Western Field 30-30, 308 MX, 444P, and the Texan 30-30 down on the end.

Re: Calendar pics.
I like the first two pictures best if they were to be on a calendar.
Nice work with the camera. They are all winners. The runner up is the trio of levers with the "shine" jug. It says come catch me if you can.
Your late entry pre-empted my posting this, so I say that last photograph ties with the "shine" jug for runner up. Nice work again.

Re: Calendar pics.
Easy enough to mask the foreground and keep those values, while making adjustments to the rest of the image.
