Who else is looking for one?
Just curious how many in this forum are waiting to get their hands on one? And if have already purchased one, where did you find it? I have been checking daily on most of the more common on-line gun dealers and they all say sold out.

From previous posts, I assume you are talking about the "Homesteader" 9mm carbine ?navvet8189 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 5:33 pmJust curious how many in this forum are waiting to get their hands on one? Not me they are way overpriced in my book. Dont care for the looks. Rugers PC carbine is half the price and its a takedown. YMMV

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I like it but would want to hold one in my hands before buying one.

I like it's looks well enough. Non threatening, campy. It's what I would choose as a camp long gun.
I've had the Ruger - too heavy, bulky, works flawlessly, buddy has one, it is boringly accurate, just not my choice for my purpose.
I still have a 9mm AK pattern firearm, it's intended purpose is decidedly not campy!
All that said, I would choose a Homesteader 45 ACP over 9mm for a camp gun.
My two cents (or so). I've added a suggestion on the Henry site. Now waiting...

Don’t know if I would ever pick one up but I do like the walnut stock.

I agree that the 45 would be a better choice, but
even at that that I will still not be buying one.
I have way too many now.
If I need a SA rifle for the zombie apocalypse, the two AR's should be sufficient.

Re: Who else is looking for one?
Homesteader weight is 6.6 lbs and the Ruger weighs 7 lbs. Im not sure I could tell much difference in 4/10s of a lb.
